Transformer supply across Himachal districts

Himachal has flat industrial estates in the south-west and high-altitude towns further in, and each needs a different approach. These notes say what to put in your enquiry for each area. All HP orders are coordinated from Jaybee's units at Village Kirpalpur, Baddi Road, Nalagarh.

Baddi, Barotiwala and Nalagarh (BBN)

This is the state's main manufacturing cluster, with pharma and formulation, packaging, FMCG, chemicals and engineering units on 11 kV and 33 kV estate feeders. Our plant is in this corridor, so it's the quickest place for us to deliver to and visit. Sites here usually ask for oil-filled distribution units for outdoor yards, and for dry-type or compact substations for indoor or space-tight blocks. Jaybee's main site has a detailed BBN load and RFQ guide.

Solan and Parwanoo

Solan district covers both the BBN estates and the Parwanoo side near the Haryana border. Enquiries here are often for replacement transformers and capacity additions at running factories. Send a photo of the old nameplate, since it gives us the kVA, vector group, impedance and cooling in one go. Our main site explains how to read a nameplate.

Shimla

Hotels, hospitals, institutions and government buildings make up much of the demand in Shimla. Sites are often tight and access roads are narrow and steep. Indoor dry-type units and compact packages are worth considering here. Send the site altitude and any limits on transport size with the RFQ (see the hill-site guide).

Kangra

Kangra has a mix of towns, institutions, commercial buildings and hydro-linked infrastructure spread across a large district. Give the exact delivery location and say whether the site needs a distribution unit at the LV board or a larger power transformer at an incoming substation.

Una

Una's industrial areas sit on lower, flatter ground close to the Punjab border. They usually order standard oil-filled distribution and power ratings. Because Una is reachable from both the Nalagarh and Bathinda sides, give the delivery window and we'll confirm which plant and lead time fit best.

Other HP locations

Mandi, Kullu, Hamirpur, Bilaspur, Sirmaur and elsewhere are supplied the same way. Send the pin code and we'll confirm logistics. Jaybee also works through dealer support statewide.
