A Himachal factory with a 1981 pedigree

Jaybee Industries started making transformers at Bathinda in 1981. As industry moved into the Baddi–Barotiwala–Nalagarh corridor, the company followed its customers up Baddi Road and set up manufacturing at Village Kirpalpur. Today two of its four units, Unit II and Unit III, work there, which makes Jaybee one of the few transformer builders whose shop floor is inside Himachal itself.

Milestones that matter to Himachal projects

Approvals from Lloyds-UK, RITES, ERDA and CPRI came in 1990. Amorphous-core transformers followed in 2017, which helps estates that run 24-hour shifts cut no-load losses. Since 2023 the company has made cast resin dry-type units, now a common choice for clean rooms and indoor substations in the pharma cluster.
